This policy covers the TrackedGait™ apps made by Tracked Biotechnologies (“TrackedBio”, “we”): TrackedGait™ Insights (our consumer app) and TrackedGait™ Clinical (gait assessment for clinics and businesses). Unless a section names one app, it applies to both.

Summary

TrackedGait analyzes movement on the device it runs on. Videos, results, and the profiles of the people being assessed are stored on that device and are not sent to us. The only exceptions are listed below: an optional anonymous research contribution (Insights), support requests you choose to send, and a count of how many people have been assessed (Clinical, used for licensing). We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.

Data processed on the device

The apps use the camera to record walking tests and analyze them directly on the device. Recordings, body-position data, scores, reports, and the details entered for each person (such as name, date of birth, sex, height, weight, session notes, and signed consent forms) are stored only on that device. They are deleted when they are deleted in the app or the app is uninstalled. We have no accounts and no access to this data.

The microphone records sound together with the video; the sound stays on the device with the recording.

Clinics and businesses. When a clinic or business uses TrackedGait to assess its patients or clients, that organization decides what is recorded and is responsible for the data (the “data controller”). Because this data stays on the organization’s devices, TrackedBio does not receive or process it. Requests to access or delete this data should be made to the organization that carried out the assessment.

Multi-camera sessions — TrackedGait™ Clinical

When several devices record together, they exchange video, body-position data, and session details directly with each other over the local network or a direct wireless connection. This data does not pass through our servers.

Optional research contribution (opt-in) — TrackedGait™ Insights only

If you opt in — via the in-app consent prompt or Settings — TrackedGait™ Insights sends us the following after each analyzed walk:

• Anonymized skeleton keypoint positions (numerical joint coordinates only — never your video, photos, or camera images)
• Your age, height, and weight, if you entered them in your walker profile
• Technical metadata: app version, iOS version, frame rate, and a random identifier generated on install

We use this data solely to improve our gait-analysis models. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising. The random identifier is not linked to your name, email, device, or any account, and we cannot connect contributed data to you.

Contributions are stored with our hosting provider (Cloudflare): uploads from the European Union are stored on infrastructure located in the EU, and uploads from elsewhere are stored in the United States.

Your choices. Sharing is off unless you opt in. You can stop at any time in Settings; turning it off also deletes any contributions still waiting on your device to be uploaded. Because contributions are anonymous, we are unable to identify and delete data already uploaded, as we cannot determine which data came from you.

Usage count for licensing — TrackedGait™ Clinical

Where enabled for a licence, the app periodically sends us a count of how many people have been assessed on the device, so we can bill according to the licence. The message contains only: a random identifier created when the app is installed, which app it is, the app version, the device model (for example “iPad14,5”), the number of people assessed, and the time it was sent. It contains no names, videos, results, or other information about the people assessed. It is sent to our server hosted by Cloudflare.

Support requests

If you contact us from within the app, we receive what you write, the email address you give us (if any), any files you choose to attach, and the app version, device model, and iOS version so we can investigate. In-app requests are delivered through Formspree, a form-delivery service; if you send them by email instead, they go through your email provider. We use this information only to answer your request.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We do not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID.

How long we keep data

Data on the device is kept until it is deleted in the app or the app is uninstalled. Support requests are kept for as long as needed to resolve them. Usage counts are kept for as long as needed for licensing and billing.

Children

TrackedGait™ Insights is not directed to children under 13. When a clinic or business uses TrackedGait™ Clinical to assess children, that organization is responsible for obtaining consent from a parent or guardian.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you, to object to its use, and to receive a copy of it. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. For data recorded by a clinic or business, please contact that organization, since we do not hold it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
